Privacy Policy
A plain-language description of the information NinePane uses to operate the website, support subscribers, and protect the service.
1. Information collected
The public website may generate basic request, device, security, and performance metadata through its hosting provider. If you contact NinePane, we receive the information you include in that message.
When you use subscriber features, NinePane processes account details, plan status, workspace settings, host names, pane labels, language choices, fixed comment libraries, support messages, Connector version information, and limited service-security events needed to operate and protect the product.
To enforce the three-computer registration limit, the Connector creates a random installation identifier. NinePane stores only a SHA-256 hash of that identifier, a generic computer label, registration and last-used times, and revocation status. NinePane does not collect the Windows or Mac computer name, operating-system user name, hardware serial number, or advertising identifier for this purpose.
2. Payment information
Subscription payments are handled by Stripe. NinePane receives transaction identifiers, payment status, billing country, and limited card descriptors such as brand and last four digits, but not full card numbers or security codes.
3. Technical support evidence
If you request a discretionary technical refund review, you must submit the reason for the request, clear screenshots or images, a screen recording showing the issue, and troubleshooting details. NinePane uses that material only to investigate, resolve, document, and decide the request. Do not include passwords, payment details, private messages, verification codes, or unrelated personal information.
4. TikTok and workspace content
NinePane does not sell TikTok credentials or chat data. Each Connector pane keeps its third-party website login in a separate local browser profile on that computer. Those pane sessions are not uploaded to NinePane or synchronized to another registered computer. Closing the Connector ends the current NinePane launch authorization, but does not erase the local third-party pane profiles unless the subscriber removes them.
The Pro service stores subscriber-selected rules and comments but is not designed as a permanent archive of TikTok chat transcripts. Activity capture is processed for the running assistant session and should be reset when the Connector closes.
5. How information is used
- Provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and subscriber workspace.
- Remember user-selected settings and subscription entitlements.
- Process payments, cancellations, support requests, and approved refunds.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and platform-safeguard evasion.
- Meet legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.
6. Service providers
NinePane may use service providers for hosting, source deployment, payment processing, email, monitoring, and customer support. Current infrastructure includes Cloudflare, GitHub, Stripe, and Resend. Providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
7. Retention and deletion
Information will be kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, legal and tax records, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and security. A Connector launch token is short-lived and one-use; the running Connector rechecks server authorization and is not intended to keep a permanent NinePane authorization. Registered-computer records may be removed from the Account page, subject to security records NinePane must temporarily retain. Support videos will be restricted and removed when they are no longer reasonably needed for the review or a related legal obligation.
Removing Connector and its local data
Stop Auto Tap and Assistant, then close NinePane Connector before uninstalling. You do not need an active plan to read these instructions. The Connector also includes offline instructions under Account and on its website-launch screen.
Windows: open Settings → Apps → Installed apps (Apps & features on Windows 10), find NinePane Connector, and choose Uninstall. Follow the Windows prompts.
Mac: quit NinePane Connector, then in Finder → Applications move NinePane Connector.app to Trash. If it is still running, quit it before trying again.
Uninstalling does not cancel your subscription. To stop renewal, sign in at Account, choose Manage billing, and confirm cancellation. If billing is unavailable, contact [email protected]; do not assume renewal has stopped. See the Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy for paid-through access and cancellation details.
Retained local data: pane sign-ins, settings, installation information and diagnostic logs remain for reinstallation. Windows stores these in %LOCALAPPDATA%\NinePane Connector; Mac uses ~/Library/Application Support/NinePane Connector. Saved exports elsewhere are not removed.
Optional permanent cleanup: after uninstalling, back up anything you need and move only that product's named data folder to Recycle Bin or Trash. This removes its local sign-ins and settings from use; emptying the bin makes recovery harder. Do not remove normal Chrome data, NinePane Personal's folder, or the entire Local AppData or Application Support folder. Local cleanup does not delete your online account or billing records.
8. Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to identity verification and applicable legal exceptions. Canceling a subscription does not automatically erase records that must be retained for billing, tax, security, or dispute purposes.
